Wireframing is usually done at the start of the design process and is intended to be low fidelity, black and white, often with placeholders or grey boxes for content or images. It's great for quick exploration of ideas in the beginning of the design process to see if it's an idea worthy of spending more time on to take it to higher fidelity with Visual Design. It's a bit like working out the structure of a house in blueprint mode before deciding what color to paint the walls.
If you have a project in mind that you would like to collaborate on, I'd love to hear about it!
